While working at the Hotel Engimatt, Cam trained with many different European chefs gaining valuable experience in French, German, and Swiss cuisine. Aside from work and living in Switzerland Cam had the chance to travel extensively throughout Europe. Cam explored the culture and the culinary uniqueness of each place he visited.
Upon arrival back home in Edmonton, Cam returned to school and the Hardware Grill. He pursued a Management Studies diploma from Grant MacEwan Collage, graduated with honors and two scholarships.
Over the next year Cam traveled through out Western North America to learn about the food and wine closer to home. Cam Later moved in 2004 to Calgary to try his luck in a new culinary scene. He worked for the Muse restaurant and lounge & The Fairmont Palliser. Once establishing himself he soon became the executive chef of the Muse restaurant and lounge. Ever since, Cam has come into his own and created a niche where his food and leadership have proved to be a good combination. He teamed up with owner of Muse Chris Hurlburt to have a successful restaurant and reputation with a free rein to create and build an exceptional kitchen team.
